Job Summary
Pilgrim's is seeking a skilled Hatchery Utility Worker to join our team. As a Hatchery Utility Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hatchery facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Notify hatchery management of any equipment issues that could impact chick quality.
- Participate in Wednesday clean days to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Repair farm buggies and perform other tasks as assigned by hatchery management.
- Fill in for other hatchery jobs during absences and perform general tasks assigned by management when there are no absences.
Requirements
- Ensure all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are followed at all times to maintain safety and animal welfare.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly for individual job tasks.
- Wear hearing protection during chick processing and use fall protection when working at heights above 4 feet.
- Lift up to 50 pounds and work in indoor and outdoor environments with varying temperatures.
