We are seeking a skilled Complex Rehab Technician to join our team at Independent Medical Equipment. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care through the installation, repair, and maintenance of complex medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Delivery and Set-Up: Efficiently deliver, set up, and retrieve Durable Medical Equipment (DME) for patients, ensuring timely and professional service.
  • Equipment Assembly and Modification: Assemble seating and mobility equipment, making necessary adjustments to meet patient needs, and prepare goods for delivery.
  • Service and Repairs: Respond to service calls and conduct repairs on complex rehab equipment both in the office and in the field. Maintain a proactive approach to ensure equipment is fully functional.
  • Client Coordination: Schedule delivery appointments with patients, coordinating closely with the Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) to support fitting, adjustments, and modifications of rehab equipment.
  • Parts Management: Order necessary parts and conduct research with manufacturers to ensure accurate and timely replacement of complex rehab equipment components.
  • Inventory and Equipment Staging: Manage the inventory of rehab parts and maintain the client equipment staging area to ensure seamless operations.
  • Collaboration with ATPs: Attend seating clinics with ATPs to assist with evaluations, modifications, and deliveries, providing client-specific details for optimal equipment adjustments.

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or rehabilitation technician role, focusing on complex rehab equipment assembly and repair.
  • Proven technical knowledge of rehab and mobility equipment, including the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment efficiently.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a compassionate and patient-focused approach to interacting with clients.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and professionalism in all tasks.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, including managing parts inventory and scheduling service calls.
