M&A Program Director Job Description

Medasource is seeking a seasoned M&A Program Director to lead our healthcare mergers and acquisitions efforts. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic growth initiatives that drive business value and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • M&A Strategy Development:
    • Develop and execute M&A strategies aligned with our growth and operational objectives.
    • Identify potential M&A opportunities in the healthcare space through market analysis and partnership development.
    • Collaborate with our executive team to assess strategic fit, financial value, and risk associated with acquisition targets.
  • Due Diligence and Transaction Management:
    • Lead the due diligence process by coordinating efforts with internal teams and external advisors (legal, financial, operational).
    • Evaluate the operational, financial, and clinical aspects of potential acquisitions, identifying risks and opportunities.
    • Manage all phases of the transaction lifecycle, including valuations, negotiations, and deal structuring.
  • Integration Leadership:
    • Design and lead post-merger integration plans that prioritize clinical outcomes, operational efficiencies, and cultural alignment.
    • Establish integration teams, define milestones, and manage timelines to ensure seamless transition and synergies.
    • Oversee communication strategies to engage stakeholders and mitigate risks during integration.
  • Program Management:
    • Manage multiple concurrent M&A projects, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and objectives are met.
    • Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and reporting processes.
    • Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to healthcare industry standards throughout the M&A process.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payers, and regulatory bodies.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for senior leadership, providing regular updates on the status of M&A activities.
    • Foster a collaborative environment across teams to align organizational goals with M&A initiatives.
  • Financial Analysis and Risk Management:
    • Collaborate with financial teams to develop financial models and projections to assess the impact of potential deals.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with healthcare M&A transactions, including compliance, operational, and market risks.
    • Provide guidance on cost-saving initiatives and synergies post-acquisition.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in healthcare mergers and acquisitions, with a proven track record of leading complex transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, clinical operations, and reimbursement models.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale integration efforts post-M&A.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, strategic planning, and project management.
