Job Summary

UNC Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. As a key member of our cardiac team, you will be responsible for performing cardiac ultrasounds and contributing to the effective diagnosis and treatment of inpatient and outpatient populations with cardiovascular disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular related structures
  • Monitor and record patient information, maintaining accurate report storage and data systems
  • Compile and enter data necessary for charge entry and prepare reports
  • Prepare procedure rooms and equipment for daily use, ensuring timely and efficient room preparation between procedures
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field within 3 months of hire
  • Completion of a 12-month ultrasound program within 3 months of hire
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry eligible and become registered within one year from date of hire
