Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for delivering effective, efficient, and timely delivery of our services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Complete thorough preventative maintenance checks and services on all standard package and split unit HVAC systems, including inspection and repair/replacement of belts and pulleys, inspection and cleaning of condensate drain lines, and testing power/performance of compressor, fan motor, and blower motor.
  • General Repairs: Perform general repairs of steam/hot water boiler systems, diagnose airflow and ducting repairs, and safely diagnose and repair common mechanical, electrical, or system failure issues on standard boiler, package, and split unit HVAC systems.
  • Refrigerant Handling: Safely handle and use refrigerants in support of standard package and split unit HVAC systems.
  • Minor Plumbing and Electrical Maintenance: Perform minor plumbing maintenance, including unclogging toilets and drains, repairing leaks in drains and faucets, and replacing toilets and faucet fixtures as needed. Perform minor electrical maintenance, including repairing or replacing fixtures, wall switches, and outlets.
  • Carpentry and Painting: Perform routine painting, carpentry work, and other tasks as necessary to maintain our clients' facilities in like-new condition.
  • Service Inspections and Asset Inspections: Complete service inspections and asset inspections as needed.
  • Technology Utilization: Fully utilize technology, including tablets and smartphones, to access and complete work orders, submit service reports, and create and submit quality inspection images and reports.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, maintain timely and consistent communications with customers and internal support teams, and create a positive climate with clients.
  • Safety and Compliance: Obtain and complete required safety and compliance training, attend weekly safety meetings, and maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Estimating and Project Management: Provide estimates for larger projects and services needed to onsite customers.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or degree/certification, or equivalent professional experience in landscaping, trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.), or specialty floor care, preferred. 5 years of HVAC/general maintenance experience, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, required.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Must possess applicable certifications, licenses, and a valid driver's license in good standing. EPA Universal certification required.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, including safety policies and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations. Ability to use and operate handheld devices and business systems or document management database software.
Work Environment

Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is considered normal.
