Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the performance of pharmacy duties, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.
  • Verify medicine is correct and check for possible interactions.
  • Process prescriptions, including entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service, engaging with customers and patients to ensure a positive experience.
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring the Pharmacy Department is stocked with adequate supplies and clean, neat, and orderly in condition and appearance.
Requirements
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Prefer good math skills and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PTCB or ExCPT certification.
