Job Title: Travel Contract RN

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Travel Contract RN to join our team at a prestigious hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a Hematology/Oncology Infusion Clinic setting. This is a 13-week contract position with a competitive hourly rate.

Responsibilities:
  • Optimize patient care by supervising nursing staff
  • Perform health assessments and develop specialized treatment plans
  • Develop nursing practices, policies, and procedures
  • Consider differential diagnoses and make clinical recommendations
  • Administer medication and treatment in consultations with patient care managers
  • Identify training needs and facilitate training for nursing students and staff
  • Allocate staff and resources to where they are needed
  • Consult with patients and their families on how to best manage their conditions
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in nursing practice and contribute to medical research
Requirements:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Completion of a fully accredited Certification Surgical Tech program
  • Minimum two years Hematology/Oncology Infusion experience
  • Active unencumbered RN Massachusetts state license
  • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
  • IV Starts, and lab draws
  • Chemo and BIO Certifications
Skills and Abilities:
  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise
  • A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks
