Role and Team
As a Senior Automotive Technician in our high-volume service center, you will leverage your extensive knowledge and skills in vehicle diagnostics and repairs to ensure customer satisfaction and vehicle reliability. This position reports to the Service Manager.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct thorough diagnostics and repairs on various vehicle systems, including:
- A/C system flushing and recharging.
- Brake system diagnostics and repairs using on-car brake lathes.
- Electrical system diagnostics, including charging systems.
- Cooling system evaluations and fan clutch replacements.
- Starting and cranking system analysis.
- Lighting system inspections and repairs.
- Drive axle leak diagnostics.
- Transmission and driveline lubrication and diagnostics.
- Major engine repairs and fuel system component replacements.
- Hybrid, EV, and ADAS diagnostics.
2. Perform routine maintenance and service interval resets.
3. Diagnose and resolve steering and alignment issues.
4. Maintain and repair suspension components and tire/wheel systems, including TPMS.
5. Mentor and support the development of junior technicians.
6. Uphold a professional work environment and appearance.
7. Foster a collaborative team atmosphere.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in automotive repair.
- Comprehensive diagnostic skills.
- Required certifications A-1 through A-8.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license.
- Consistent and punctual attendance is essential.
