Locksmithing Expert

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Locksmithing Expert to join our team at The Flying Locksmiths Jacksonville/Tallahassee. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial hardware, including locks, safes, and access control systems.

About the Role

This is a hands-on technical position that requires a strong understanding of locksmithing principles and practices. You will work independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality service to our clients, ensuring their security needs are met in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial hardware, including locks, safes, and access control systems.
• Perform emergency work orders for commercial clients only.
• Create and maintain master key systems.
• Re-key and pin commercial locks.
• Troubleshoot various problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Clean, maintain, adjust, calibrate, and service equipment used.
• Cut keys by code.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in technical hands-on field experience in locksmithing, access control, door hardware, and other skilled trades.
• Good relationship-building skills with a diverse population, including customers, partners, technicians, and company employees.
• Good verbal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously.
• Good organizational skills.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Capable of working effectively as part of a team.
• Able to work safely on ladders.
• Ability to drive in compliance with company vehicle policy.
• Provide a high level of timely and accurate customer service.
