Responsibilities

Job Overview

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide offers support and assistance with personal hygiene and household tasks, enabling individuals to remain in their own residences.

Specific Duties/Responsibilities

May assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene; care for hair, teeth, and nails; skin care; and transferring patients between bed, chair, and wheelchair. Reports observations regarding the client's condition to the appropriate agency personnel. Drives safely, adheres to traffic laws, and utilizes seat belts during work-related travel. Aids with household tasks essential to clients' personal care.

Qualifications

Desired Experience

Preferred six months of experience in home care. Successful completion of a competency evaluation.

License Requirements

Current CPR certification is mandatory. Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.

Skill Requirements

Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of identified patients. Capability to function in diverse home environments, regardless of the patient's age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial situation. Ability to work independently. Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
