Preconstruction Manager

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join a leading design-build general contractor as a Preconstruction Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for all aspects of pre-construction and estimating, working closely with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to deliver successful projects.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare conceptual budget estimates for projects from schematic design through construction document phases.
- Evaluate and compile all budgets and bids, including conceptual estimating, hard-bids, and negotiated bids.
- Source and build relationships with clients and subcontractors.
- Communicate and present proposals to customers, architects, engineers, etc.
- Provide take-off reviews and estimates from construction drawings.
- Solicit and review bids from the subcontractor market.
- Assist with subcontractor selection, buyout meetings, and subcontracts when needed.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Visit construction sites to obtain necessary client requirement information.
- Evaluate proposals, specifications, blueprints, and construction documents to understand the project as a whole.
- Work closely with the construction project manager to oversee and coordinate the bid process for vendors and subcontractors.
- Estimate time, labor, construction materials, and product costs to determine overall cost for construction projects.
- Produce written proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and updates for clients and project managers.
- Provide accurate and clear quantity takeoff information to provide a detailed list of materials and assess the total construction costs.
- Follow up with clients on submitted proposal and budgets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software and construction management tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
