Job Overview

HCO Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families struggling with mental health challenges.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized Psychosocial Rehabilitation services to clients, focusing on social and interpersonal skills development.
  • Assist clients in setting and working towards treatment goals, promoting personal growth and empowerment.
  • Identify and enhance support networks, community awareness, coping strategies, and improve functioning in daily life environments.
  • Help restore and develop daily living skills, improving self-management of psychiatric or emotional symptoms.
  • Provide crisis intervention to ensure client and community safety.
  • Document services provided within 24 hours, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and supervision as required by the agency.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure cohesive service delivery.
Requirements
  1. Valid Louisiana Driver's License
  2. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Rehabilitation Services, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Secondary Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, or Human Growth and Development; OR
  3. Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree with a minor in Counseling, Social Work, Sociology, or Psychology;
  4. Age 21 years or older
