Position Summary:
As a Senior Project Manager within our Airports division, you will oversee a diverse range of airport-related projects, including paving, grading, structures, lighting, and fuel systems. Your role will involve managing substantial and/or complex projects while delivering program management services for intricate, multi-disciplinary initiatives. Key responsibilities encompass contract negotiations, project staffing, mentoring, resource allocation, scope management, scheduling, performance tracking, and ensuring quality standards are met. You will also be responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships while achieving financial objectives for the projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directs the planning, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale and intricate projects across the organization.
- Leads cross-functional teams to meet project goals and objectives effectively.
- Defines the scope, complexity, planning, and scheduling needs of major projects.
- Guarantees project quality aligns with client and organizational standards through the development and application of best practices, processes, and tools, including conducting regular project assessments.
- Ensures excellence in project management through the mentorship and training of team members.
- Enhances the pursuit and execution of significant projects by collaborating with leadership to leverage the full potential of our talent.
- Communicates project status and updates to all stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Manages project resources, including staffing, budgeting, and procurement, to ensure optimal resource utilization and successful project outcomes.
- Monitors project performance and progress, tracking milestones and deliverables using project management technologies and methodologies.
- Identifies performance issues and formulates corrective action plans.
- Recognizes, evaluates, and mitigates project risks by identifying challenges, developing contingency strategies, and proactively addressing project concerns.
- Solicits client feedback to ensure high satisfaction levels and identify opportunities for service enhancement.
- Adheres to Olsson's Project Management Statement of Expectations.
- Ensures compliance with safety protocols for on-site project personnel.
