We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our Alternatives Asset Management team. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding and interest of the Alternatives industry, with the ability to operate with and promote a Risk mindset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Risk Assessment: Assessing portfolio strategies, including reviews of risk positioning relative to client risk and return objectives.
  • Complex Technical Analysis: Developing complex technical analysis and overseeing the design and maintenance of Alternative Funds risk analysis and scenario testing.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Supporting Alternatives Business (Senior Risk Manager, Fund Portfolio Managers and other PIMCO teams) with analysis shared internally and externally.
  • Fund Risk Monitoring: Representative Fund focused risk monitoring, including daily risk monitoring, stress testing, and informing relevant teams on potential scenario outcomes.
  • Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or STEM related subject.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of relevant risk management and/or fund management experience.
  • Skills: Deep financial expertise, analytical and modelling skills, investment industry experience, and advanced knowledge of Excel, SQL, and Bloomberg.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
