Medical Assistant Role at Mercy

At Mercy, we're seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of transforming the healthcare experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for visits with providers by completing advanced standard room processes, including entering chief complaints, taking vital signs, and reviewing patient history and allergies.
  • Assist with in-office testing, including drawing blood, completing mental status exams, EKGs, walking oxygen studies, and point-of-care testing.
  • Administer vaccines and other injections within scope of practice.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments as needed per office policy.
  • Collaborate with providers and clinical care teams to monitor and coordinate delivery of care plans.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office.
  • Active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA).
