Key Responsibilities
The primary function of this department is to manage the extrusion of aluminum. This involves shaping the metal by forcing it through a die, resulting in elongated aluminum pieces that are utilized in various applications, including glass framing. Responsibilities include:
- Loading cut metal into racks or containers
- Assisting the saw operator
- Conducting visual inspections of products for quality assurance
What We Are Looking For
- Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
- Skill in multitasking and prioritizing under time constraints
- Effective communication with colleagues and supervisors
- Capability to work independently and follow directions
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including overtime when necessary
- A collaborative spirit and willingness to learn in different areas as needed
- Preference for candidates with prior extrusion experience
- Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment
- Consistent attendance and adherence to safety protocols are essential
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on concrete surfaces
- Capability to twist, bend, stoop, and kneel
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move items weighing up to 75 lbs individually or 150 lbs with assistance
- Proficiency in handling various sizes and weights of metal products
- Visual acuity for inspecting product quality and ensuring equipment safety
- Willingness to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures and conditions
