A dedicated Special Education Teacher is sought to join the team at a school district located in Lawrence, Kansas. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 1+ years experience in special education and hold a Masters or Doctoral Degree in Special Education or teaching students with Special Needs.

Job Summary

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational services to a class of 45 elementary and middle school students on a full-time basis. This role requires a strong understanding of special education principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The selected individual will work 37.5 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to accommodate the needs of students with diverse learning requirements. This position presents an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced educator to make a positive impact in the lives of students and contribute to the growth and development of the school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement tailored lesson plans to cater to the unique needs of each student
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders to promote academic success and well-being
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Masters or Doctoral Degree in Special Education or teaching students with Special Needs
  • SPED License
  • Minimum 1+ years experience in special education

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental coverage, 401k plan with company matching, and CEU reimbursements.
