Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at MountainView Hospital. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results, which are essential for providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of laboratory tests, including waived, moderate, and high-complexity tests, to analyze specimens and provide accurate results.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including automated and semi-automated instruments, to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct quality control and preventive maintenance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
  • Ensure specimen integrity throughout the testing process, including proper handling, storage, and transportation of specimens.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Successful completion of a national certification examination for medical technologists, such as the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification.
  • State of Nevada certification or eligibility.
  • At least one year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, preferably in a large hospital or healthcare system.
