We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team at Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in the care and recovery of our patients, providing specialized physical therapy interventions to help them achieve optimal function and quality of life.
Responsibilities- Assume responsibility for the care of patients being treated by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy techs, and may be assigned to orient staff and students in your absence.
- Assess patients' needs, identify and initiate appropriate physical therapy interventions, and work cooperatively with other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional physical therapy practice and interdisciplinary teamwork.
- Observe and evaluate treatment effect, accomplishment of short and long term goals, and recommend changes to the physician as needed.
- Perform an appropriate assessment on each patient and perform reassessments as per policy, and perform accurate and timely QI scoring.
- Able to assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function or participation in rehabilitation, and make appropriate interventions to reduce pain, and make appropriate physician contact for intervention.
- Formulate and update patient specific plan of care for physical therapy.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state where the hospital is located.
- Inpatient rehab experience preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR Card.
