Athletic Training Specialist

Your primary duties will include establishing and maintaining an effective athletic training program, providing athletic trainer services for events and competitions, and providing first aid and injury assessment/treatment/rehabilitation/reconditioning for athletes. You will also be responsible for documenting injuries, illnesses, and treatments, as well as creating a safe playing environment by monitoring and controlling environmental risks.
In addition to these duties, you will provide in-services and educational programs to local schools, coaches, athletes, and communities on health and fitness-related topics. You will also act as the workers' compensation case manager for any professional contracted team, submitting insurance information, facilitating referrals, tracking compensation claims, and reporting back to the organization within HIPAA/FERPA guidelines.
To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE-approved program and be certified by the BOC. You must also be licensed in the state of practice as an Athletic Trainer and maintain the required 50 CEUs per certification period.

**Key Responsibilities:**
* Establish and maintain an effective athletic training program
* Provide athletic trainer services for events and competitions

* Collaborate with other JAG PT professionals in programs such as Physical Therapy and physician-related services
* Regularly communicate with the supervising physician
* Assist with departmental administrative duties and day-to-day operations of the facility
* Collaborate with the physical therapy service team in clinics
* Collaborate with marketing and promotional initiatives
* Contribute to departmental improvement and growth projects
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE-approved program
* BOC certification
* Licensed in the state of practice as an Athletic Trainer
* Maintain the required 50 CEUs per certification period
* Department of Education clearance (if working in secondary schools and applicable in state of practice)
* Current BLS certification
* Maintain Personal Liability Insurance
