Position Overview

Salary: $40-$48 per hour

Breast Care for Washington is a community-focused, non-profit breast cancer screening facility in the Washington DC area, equipped with advanced 3D imaging technology. Key Responsibilities

As a Mammography Technologist, you will:

  • Conduct routine and advanced mammogram imaging procedures.
  • Utilize imaging equipment, computer systems, and image archiving solutions effectively.
  • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
  • Engage in quality assurance activities and resolve equipment-related issues.
  • Work in various settings, including our facility and mobile mammography units.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and medical professionals to manage and organize patient schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide support and information.
  • Assist in the training of student imaging technologists.
Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

  • A high school diploma.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Clinical Radiologic Technologists.
  • Documented completion of 40 hours of training in mammography.
  • Current continuing education units (CEUs) as required by the ACR.
  • Preferred: Two years of clinical experience in the field.
