Job Summary

Denver Health Medical Center, a nationally recognized level I trauma center, is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our dynamic team of anesthesiology providers. As a vital member of the Anesthesiology Care Team, the CRNA will administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care for scheduled and emergency surgical and obstetrical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients preoperatively and formulate an anesthesia care plan, including monitoring and recording patient reaction to anesthesia.
  • Administer anesthesia-related procedures, including inducing, maintaining, and altering anesthesia levels.
  • Assist in the application and interpretation of advanced monitoring techniques, such as pulmonary artery catheterization and echocardiography.
  • Provide continuity of anesthetic care into and during the postoperative recovery period.
  • Participate in post-anesthesia patient rounds, recording patient progress notes and compiling case summaries.
  • Perform evaluation and treatment procedures essential to responding to life-threatening situations, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Requirements
  • Masters Degree or equivalent post-baccalaureate training in Anesthesia.
  • Typically, two years related experience, new grads will be considered.
  • Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider Certification/CPR.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Colorado or a participating compact state.
  • Board Certified Nurse Anesthetist License.
