Compensation Range:

$19.33-$28.86 per hour

Educational and Professional Requirements:
  1. Essential Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Essential Experience: At least one year of experience as a financial counselor in a healthcare setting or one year of experience with business office operations, including understanding bad debt and payer requirements. Must be proficient in using computer terminals and personal computing devices. Knowledge of laws and regulations affecting the collection of overdue accounts is essential. A comprehensive understanding of government assistance programs, their guidelines, and application processes is required. Strong communication skills are necessary to address inquiries and effectively explain payment policies to patients.
  3. Key Skills: Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach. Comfortable engaging with various levels of management. Demonstrated professionalism and adaptability to work schedules as needed. Familiarity with MS Word and Excel is preferred but not mandatory.
  4. Supervision Level: Requires minimal supervision; the incumbent must be capable of working effectively with little oversight.
