The Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled Phlebotomist - Part Time to join our team at our Austin, Domain Northside office. As a Phlebotomist, you'll play a vital role in providing an exceptional experience for our patients by collecting blood samples and performing other clinical support services.

You'll work closely with our diverse team of providers and administrative assistants to ensure seamless patient care. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will make you an asset to our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide best-in-class venipuncture services to patients of all ages
  • Perform and assist with extended scope duties, including non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs
  • Maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
  • Continuously care for our members beyond the lab room by answering patient messages, following up on lab cases, and assisting providers and virtual medical teams with clerical duties
  • Master our technology suite, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, and our Electronic Medical Record System 1Life
Requirements
  • At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
  • Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (additional experience with remote teams a plus)
  • A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused care
  • A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks
  • Phlebotomy experience and/or certification preferred
  • Experience with extended scope care, including non-blood specimen collection and processing, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs preferred

Competitive Salary

We offer a competitive salary starting at $21.50/hr, as well as opportunities for growth and professional development.

This is a part-time role working 24 hours per week, based in-person with our team and patients at our Austin, Domain Northside office. The shift for this position is M-F between 4:00-9:30pm, and Saturday 8-5.
