Job Overview:
As an Arborist Technician, you will be tasked with the essential duties of planting, pruning, and maintaining trees along various roadways.

Your responsibilities will include climbing trees using ropes and ladders, as well as operating a variety of machinery such as dump trucks, aerial lift bucket trucks, and front-end loaders. You will also utilize tools like chainsaws, stump grinders, and hedge trimmers to ensure the health and safety of our urban forestry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planting and trimming trees to promote healthy growth.
  • Removing trees that pose safety hazards.
  • Maintaining tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Working at considerable heights with safety protocols in place.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have a minimum of six (6) months of experience in tree trimming or nursery work.

Preferred Experience:
One (1) year of experience in arbor care and maintenance.

Desirable Certifications:

Possession of a current Florida Class B CDL and a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) certification is highly regarded. Note: A copy of the certification must be submitted within three (3) business days of application.
