Experience requirements are 5 years with a BS/BA, 3 years with an MS/MA, and 0 years with a PhD (Additional education, training, certifications, or work experience may be considered in lieu of degree or experience at the Government's discretion).

General Experience
The Cloud Engineer must possess five (5) years of experience and a foundational understanding of software development, engineering, programming languages, and tools, including Java, Python, Ruby, .NET/C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PowerShell, and CI/CD pipelines, along with the ability to work within Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean Startup, XP).

Preferred Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud migration and familiarity with technologies such as OpenStack, Linux, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, DevOps, and NoSQL.

Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator, Red Hat Certified Engineer, Cisco Certified Network Professional, or cloud certifications like Certified Cloud Security Professional or Cloud+ are advantageous.

Compensation Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
