Job Schedule: Part-time
Weekly Hours: 12.00
Compensation: $17.00 per hour
Department Overview
We are seeking a part-time Laundry Technician to work from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, scheduled for three days a week, including alternating weekends and holiday rotations.
Role Responsibilities
The Laundry Technician will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness within the healthcare facility. This includes:
- Sorting, washing, and handling laundry in accordance with safety and health standards.
- Following infection control protocols when managing contaminated linens.
- Collecting and distributing clean linens and personal clothing.
- Operating laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Utilizing proper protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Physical demands of the role include lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 lbs and pushing/pulling up to 500 lbs. The position requires being on one's feet for the majority of the shift and may involve exposure to noise from equipment.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience in a cleaning role within a healthcare setting is advantageous. Familiarity with cleaning materials and methods is beneficial.
