Position Overview: The County of Dare is seeking a dedicated individual to perform essential administrative support tasks related to patient billing and registration. This role involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring efficient financial operations within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and process invoices while facilitating timely payments.
  • Reconcile monthly credit card transactions with corresponding billing statements.
  • Maintain the general ledger and prepare various financial and tax reports.
  • Manage vendor files and ensure compliance with IRS regulations, including W-9 and 1099 forms.
  • Prepare and manage bank deposits.
  • Provide backup support to team members as necessary.
  • Handle patient encounter forms, register patients for appointments, and manage monthly billing statements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • General understanding of accounting and bookkeeping terminology, methods, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with standard office practices and equipment.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow both oral and written instructions.
  • Proficiency in posting accounts and performing mathematical calculations accurately and efficiently.
  • Capability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to three years of relevant experience or a combination of education and training that provides the necessary skills for this position.
  • Valid driver's license.
