Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse

Sigma Healthcare Team is seeking a skilled Emergency Room Nurse to work onsite at our client's facility in Manhattan, KS.

Job Summary:

The Emergency Room Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of current experience in Emergency Room as an RN and possess strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients
  • Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans
  • Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
  • Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
  • Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
  • Maintain accurate patient medical records
  • Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members
Qualifications:
  • 2 years of current experience in Emergency Room as an RN
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (also TNCC preferred)
  • Experience with Telemetry
  • Familiarity with medical software (such as Epic, McKesson, etc.) and equipment
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
