Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staffing Coordinator to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for adjusting and maintaining staff work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet the needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize department staffing policies to determine scheduling needs and make informed decisions
  • Negotiate staffing needs with leaders and directors to ensure optimal staffing levels
  • Anticipate and resolve staffing problems through effective communication and negotiation
  • Track, document, and report staffing data to directors for analysis
  • Ensure Nursing Payroll completion and order supplies for the nursing department

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent training in a healthcare or business-related field
  • Previous experience working with people or staffing issues is desirable
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • High degree of self-motivation and independence
  • Ability to work with multiple interruptions and under stress
