Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at a community hospital in Los Alamos, NM. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Review patient history and physician's orders to ensure accurate and efficient imaging procedures.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies, and implement safety standards and quality control procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results and identifying issues with image quality.
  • Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures.
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a program in radiologic technology or a related field.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
  • New Mexico Radiologic Technologist Certificate (RRT) and ARRT certification/registration in Radiography and Computed Tomography (CT).
  • COVID vaccine with 2 shots and booster.
