We are seeking a skilled Primary Care Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team at the Atlanta, GA VA Medical Center.
About the RoleThe selected candidate will work as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, collaborating with other members to provide medical care to veterans enrolled in the team.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive patient assessment, health history, physical examination, and patient education to veterans in the Primary Care team setting.
- Prescribe medical treatment and personal care services to ill and injured veterans.
- Document observations, assessments, and changes in a patient's condition.
- Collaborate with other health team members to facilitate positive patient care outcomes.
- Provide a full range of care to patients with a variety of physical and/or behavior problems.
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the U.S. or in the District of Columbia.
- Must have a degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
- Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible.
The Primary Care physician will work in a patient-centered medical home model, with a patient panel assigned to them.
Work hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm.
Salary range is $240,000 - $270,000 per year.
A recruitment/relocation incentive may be authorized for a highly qualified candidate.
Selected candidates may be eligible to apply for student loan repayment through the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP).
