Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor in Painting and Drawing to join our team at Pitt Services Ltd.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the Department of Studio Arts, with a primary specialization in Painting and Drawing. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, and will be able to demonstrate investment in cultural and social awareness through the arts.

The successful candidate's research may consider practices that challenge established paradigms, such as analyses of race, identity, indigeneity, colonialism, ableism, environmental issues, migration, genderism, and sexism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and mentor students in Painting and Drawing courses
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans in collaboration with other Painting faculty
  • Manage the painting studio and supplies
  • Contribute to department-wide engagement in creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community
Requirements
