Our establishment boasts 25 oceanfront acres, 217 luxurious rooms and suites, five diverse dining venues, a private beach, a full-service spa, an 8-acre farm, and a plethora of recreational activities.

As a **Baking Specialist**, your primary responsibilities will encompass the crafting and baking of a variety of menu items, including but not limited to breads, pastries, cookies, cakes, and brownies for our multiple dining outlets. This is a full-time, year-round opportunity.

  • Assumes complete accountability for the quality of all products served.
  • Consistently adheres to our established portion sizes, baking methods, quality standards, and kitchen protocols.
  • Ensures that food products are adequately stocked at line stations to facilitate smooth service periods.
  • Prepares food products prior to cooking, following standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation, including tables, shelves, grills, fryers, and all kitchen equipment.
  • Follows proper presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.
  • Handles, stores, and rotates all products appropriately.
  • Completes assigned tasks within designated time frames.
  • Monitors and reports any food waste.
  • Assists with food preparation tasks during off-peak periods as necessary.
  • Properly opens and/or closes the kitchen, following the closing checklist for kitchen stations.
  • Performs related duties, such as washing dishes, preparing recycling, and assisting with various projects as directed by the kitchen manager.
  • Participates in all scheduled employee meetings and contributes suggestions for improvement.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the manager-on-duty.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the culinary field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
  • Strong communication skills in English with guests, co-workers, and management.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently and accurately.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure while meeting production schedules.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining professionalism.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
  • Proficient in following recipes and adjusting them as necessary.
  • Demonstrates excellent knife skills.
  • Ability to season food appropriately.
  • Familiarity with established kitchen processes and protocols.
  • Understanding of how to read contracts and order tickets.
