Clinical Nurse Specialist

The RN Clinical Nurse (Ambulatory) is a key member of our interprofessional team, providing patient-centered, specialized, evidence-based nursing care across the continuum. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering compassionate and safe care, while promoting a culture of innovation and growth.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process and evidence-based practice to assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional team to provide high-quality care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate clinical expertise in the provision of care, performing all functions of the professional clinical nurse (RN) in a developmentally sensitive and culturally specific manner.
- Identify opportunities to improve patient experience, streamline care processes, and reduce costs while promoting quality and patient satisfaction.
- Contribute to a professional environment that fosters mentoring, engagement, and development of expert clinicians.
- Provide consultation and maintain positive relationships with physicians and other interprofessional team members to problem-solve and improve patient care.
- Demonstrate proactive risk management to prevent crises and ensure patient safety.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or commitment to obtain within five years.
- Current Wisconsin RN Licensure.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
This role requires frequent exposure to blood-borne pathogens, sharp objects, and hazardous materials. The ability to move freely and lift up to 50 pounds is necessary. A variable day and hours schedule, with weekend rotation and no major holidays, is required.
