Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting with cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, as well as providing patient care and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, utilizing sterile technique and following departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide competent patient care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures, including obtaining and interpreting data, making appropriate decisions, and adapting procedures and treatments as needed.
  • Effectively communicate patient changes and conditions to coworkers and multidisciplinary caregivers.
  • Assist in and supervise the acquisition and analysis of physiologic, hemodynamic, and angiographic data.
  • Support and abide by all medical center, departmental, and safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain active logons/passwords for computer software systems that support patient care and education.
  • Enter on-line charges for patient-care services and be accountable for revenue reconciliation and charge error correction as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Cardiovascular Technology Program with current credentialing or board eligible and pass RCIS board exam within 18 months of start date.
  • Agency staff – required to be graduate and RCIS credentialed at hire.
  • Graduate of a Radiological Technology Program with current licensure or board eligible and pass ARRT board exam or pass RCIS board exam within 18 months of start date.
  • Agency staff – required to be graduate and RT(R) credentialed at hire.
  • Graduate of Licensed Practical Nursing program with current licensure or board eligible and pass NCLEX-PN exam or pass RCIS board exam within 18 months of hire.
  • Graduate of Surgical Technology program with current credentialing or board eligible and pass CST certification or pass RCIS exam within 18 months of start date.
  • Graduate of Respiratory Technology program with current licensure or board eligible and pass RRT board exam or pass RCIS board exam within 18 months of start date.
  • Graduate of Paramedic program with current credentialing or board eligible and pass NREMT certification or pass RCIS exam within 18 months of start date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Clinical experience in cardiology, cardiac cath lab, or procedural units.
