About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to provide direct patient services in an inpatient setting, working with a multidisciplinary treatment team to deliver high-quality care to children and adolescents with mental illness or substance abuse issues.

Responsibilities
  • Provide diagnostic admission evaluations, psychotherapy, and pharmacotherapy as needed
  • Work collaboratively with the treatment team to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to minimize restraint and seclusion
  • Document assessments, clinical interventions, and discharge summaries in a timely manner
  • Monitor risk indicators and take action to ensure client, staff, and visitor safety
Requirements
  • Board Certified (or Board Eligible) psychiatrist with experience in child and adolescent inpatient services
  • State of CT, Department of Public Health medical license; DEA; CCSR
  • Computer and keyboarding skills required
