Job Title: CT Technologist Registry

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing emergency and routine CT procedures, implementing procedural standards and protocols, and providing patient care specific to procedural requirements and patients' needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform CT procedures, including emergency and routine scans, and implement procedural standards and protocols.
  • Provide patient care specific to procedural requirements and patients' needs, including providing for patient comfort and safety, responding to patient/physician complaints, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Document department records, including participating in documentation of CQI/QA and ACR statistics, properly stocking rooms, checking and ordering of supplies, and understanding and operating RadNet and CareConnection.
  • Comply with established hospital safety standards to ensure patient and staff well-being, including maintaining CPR certification, IEMA, and ARRT, operating equipment in a safe manner, and using Universal Precautions in daily performance of procedures.
  • Provide training assistance to new associates and radiology tech students, assist in preparation, submission, and adherence to ACR standards and ACR accreditation for CT, and keep current on new trends in the field of CT, including attending continuing education programs and inservices.
Requirements:
  • 1 year Radiology tech experience - Graduate of approved Radiology Technology Program and Certification in CT.
  • Familiarity with CT keyboard - Familiar with all CT equipment.
  • ARRT, IEMA, CPR, CT Certification.
Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate will have the ability to anticipate patient, employee, and department needs and act appropriately on those needs. Weekend, holiday, and after-hour call-ins may be required to accommodate patient and staff needs. The ability to sit, stand for extended periods of time, and lift up to 35 pounds without assistance is also required.

For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when the patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
