Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital. As a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for obtaining diagnostic cardiac ultrasound images in three modes: M mode, color flow Doppler, and two-dimensional mode. You will follow the imaging protocol recommended by IACEL and assist the physician with obtaining images during Transesophageal Echos.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a top-performing quality hospital and a team of respected and qualified physicians. Our hospital offers advanced care to critically ill patients and has a wide range of specialties, including open-heart surgery and a Cancer Care Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain diagnostic cardiac ultrasound images in three modes
  • Follow the imaging protocol recommended by IACEL
  • Assist the physician with obtaining images during Transesophageal Echos
  • Prioritize and organize patient flow to ensure best utilization of time
  • Demonstrate effective safety practices

Requirements:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
  • Graduate of an approved/accredited School of Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography or completion of Cardiac credentialing International program
