Position Overview
Position Summary:
We are in search of a knowledgeable Accounting Manager who excels in a dynamic and fast-paced setting. This position will empower you to lead and oversee financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and M&A initiatives. Our Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in executing strategic financial plans and enhancing financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
The Accounting Manager will be tasked with a variety of financial responsibilities, including:
- Supervising the daily functions of the accounting department.
- Overseeing the creation of all financial documentation, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and reports for regulatory bodies.
- Collaborating with the financial management team to formulate budgets and financial forecasts.
- Assessing, implementing, and refining accounting systems and processes utilizing Sage software.
- Ensuring compliance of all accounting activities and internal audits with financial regulations.
- Leading and managing M&A activities, including due diligence, integration, and post-transaction support.
- Providing insights on long-term business and financial planning.
- Reviewing all formal finance, HR, and IT-related procedures.
Candidate Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager role should have the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. An advanced degree or professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting position within the manufacturing sector.
- Expertise in Sage accounting software and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and M&A processes.
- A comprehensive understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
- Strong knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize key projects.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to guide and manage a team.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
