Position Overview
The Nurse Educator plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of care provided in acute settings. This position is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and assessment of educational programs tailored to adult learners, ensuring alignment with best practices in nursing education.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and clinical staff to foster professional growth and competency in nursing practices.
- Utilize adult learning principles to create engaging and effective educational content.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
- Provide expertise to support hospital-wide initiatives aimed at elevating nursing standards.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field is preferred; candidates must either possess a Master's degree or be enrolled in a Master's program within two years of hire.
- National Certification in a Nursing Specialty or Nursing Professional Development is required.
- Previous experience in education or teaching within a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse is required.
- Must hold a valid Maryland Registered Nurse License and certifications in BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
