Position Title:
  • Detention Registered Nurse

Salary Range: $57,136 - $59,422 Dependent on experience.

  • Graham County Health Department/Adult Detention Facility
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts daily health assessments for individuals in custody.
  • Coordinates clinical appointments with the Physician Assistant based on assessment outcomes.
  • Ensures the provision of both over-the-counter and prescribed medications to detainees.
  • Manages the distribution of medications and prepares the medication cart for staff use.
  • Keeps accurate records of medication administration.
  • Maintains comprehensive medical documentation for all services rendered to detainees.
  • Administers vaccinations and blood draws as required.
  • Reviews medical invoices for correctness and prepares payment documentation.
  • Operates within established medical protocols and budgetary constraints.
  • Generates necessary reports related to medical services.
  • Aids in the formulation of medical service protocols for detention facilities.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a nursing license and relevant experience in a correctional healthcare setting.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Arizona, ideally with two years of clinical experience; must also possess a valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record.
