Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Specialist who will spearhead the execution of quality improvement initiatives and ensure their ongoing enhancement.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading and mentoring teams in problem-solving, data analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensuring that all manufactured components meet quality standards and promptly addressing any non-conformances.
  • Exhibiting proficiency in blueprint interpretation, mathematical skills, and GD&T.
Key Responsibilities:

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures in line with company policies.

Act as the quality liaison between clients and the manufacturing team.

Encourage and facilitate the use of effective problem-solving methodologies for root cause analysis and corrective actions. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and implement necessary corrective measures. Manage customer concerns and oversee the corrective action request process.

Provide engineering support to ensure consistent application of quality standards. Assess when stability and capability studies are needed for existing processes and analyze the outcomes.

Propose process modifications based on analytical findings and follow up to confirm effectiveness. Engage in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities to determine the appropriate application of measurement systems during new tool or process design and implementation.

Participate in the PT lot process to guarantee that all quality checks outlined in the MPCD are executed to meet customer specifications.

Coordinate, develop, and submit PPAP documentation for new product launches to fulfill customer requirements. Drive continuous improvement and prevent future issues by facilitating the implementation of corrective actions. Collect and analyze quality metrics such as scrap rates and end-of-line failures.

Review, audit, and update the Quality and Inspection sections of MPCDs based on customer specifications. Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO standards. Assist with additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

5-7 years of relevant experience or training following graduation.

Knowledge and experience in metal fabrication, stamping, and forming processes.

Proficient in using standard manufacturing measurement tools and techniques (SPC, GD&T, DOE, Gage R&R, statistical analysis). Basic understanding of mechanical processes, materials, and machinery.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Willingness to travel (15%) to engage with customers and suppliers. ASQ certification is advantageous. Experience with PC-DMIS is a plus.

Computer Skills:

To excel in this role, candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and PowerPoint.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical literature, financial reports, and legal documents. Capable of responding to inquiries from customers and regulatory bodies. Proficient in writing professional documents that adhere to established formats. Effective presentation skills for diverse audiences, including management and public groups.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and geometry. Proficient in applying concepts like fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to real-world scenarios.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Capable of interpreting complex technical instructions and managing multiple variables.

Physical Demands:

The physical requirements for this position include regular standing, walking, and the ability to lift or move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typically humid with potential exposure to extreme temperatures. Noise levels are generally high.

Hours:

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
