Job Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Holy Cross Health. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a registered nurse to provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including maintaining a safe patient environment, feeding, bathing, mobilizing patients, and answering call lights.
- Assist with the admission and discharge process, including coordinating with the RN and other hospital departments.
- Work collaboratively with a 3-person team consisting of the primary RN, a virtual RN, and the CNA, reporting pertinent information, responding to inquiries, and providing proactive bedside care/ADLs.
- Assist the RN with other tasks to support care of all assigned patients.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; four years of nursing assistant experience will be accepted in lieu of a High School Diploma/GED.
- Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing for Certified Nursing Assistant.
- BLS certification (issued by American Heart Association only).
- Computer skills, including internet, email, wireless phone, and electronic health record.
- Ability to pull, push, turn, and position patients.
- Superb interpersonal, customer service, and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize, with the ability to work well with individuals and groups.
