Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients to define event scope, expectations, venue selection, menu planning, and entertainment options within budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with chefs to design menus tailored to client preferences.
  • Negotiate contracts with various vendors.
  • Oversee the Event Manager to ensure successful execution of events as per established guidelines.
  • Recruit, interview, and train both permanent and temporary staff.
  • Lead and inspire the catering team.
  • Develop staff and event schedules.
  • Maintain precise financial and administrative records.
  • Act as a liaison among Sales Catering Managers, Supervising Chefs, Staffing, Vendors, and Clients to facilitate event planning.
  • Evaluate contract requirements and ensure service satisfaction.
  • Conduct final assessments of catering events to verify adherence to performance and quality standards.
  • Address customer concerns and ensure prompt payment processing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in managing personnel, events, and guest experiences in the hospitality sector.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and team motivation skills are crucial for success in this role.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with clients and management.
  • Adaptability to changing demands and circumstances.
  • Experience in budgeting, P&L management, labor, and sales forecasting.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation capabilities.
  • Ability to establish credibility with senior culinary professionals.
  • Human resources experience, including hiring, training, and development.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a hospitality management role, preferably in off-premise catering.
  • Ability to thrive in a client-focused, entrepreneurial environment while building and growing a successful business.
