Position Summary: The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Lathes and Mills. This role involves implementing data entry systems and providing daily support for software programming applications.

Qualifications for CNC Machinist II:

  • Possesses a solid understanding of machine equipment functions and maintenance.
  • Capable of performing assigned preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the manufacturing process flow for parts.
  • Fully comprehends and applies all data entry systems and processes, with the ability to read technical prints and drawings.
  • Has a strong grasp of machine control interfaces.
  • Provides ongoing support for software programming applications.
  • Exhibits proficiency in programming, editing, and offsets.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving software-related issues.
  • Ensures personal performance aligns with the shop's standards for safety, cost efficiency, and production timelines.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of machine tooling applications and maintenance.
  • Collaborates with fellow machinists to address tooling-related challenges.
  • Understands processes necessary to complete all assigned tasks within production schedules.
  • Able to operate both manual and CNC machinery.

Primary Responsibilities of CNC Machinist II:

  • Set up and operate CNC machinery to manufacture production components.
  • Produce machined parts adhering to precise tolerance specifications.
  • Maintain production efficiency by operating multiple machines within a designated work area.
  • Collaborate as a team member to address machining and production challenges.
  • Exhibit a positive work ethic by sharing knowledge and procedures with colleagues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification is required.
  • Ability to explain operational steps clearly to ensure understanding among peers. Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English is essential.
  • Must be able to stand and walk throughout the workday.
  • Frequent reaching with hands and arms; capable of manipulating and handling materials.
  • Regular use of hands/fingers for grasping, pinching, pulling, and handling parts and tools.
  • Consistent use of eye protection is mandatory (safety equipment is provided by the company).
