Position Overview:
We are in search of a passionate and experienced Employment Litigation professional to become a vital part of our dynamic Legal team.
This role encompasses managing a variety of employment litigation issues, such as wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage disputes.
The ideal candidate will engage in high-profile cases, collaborate with senior executives, and contribute to the organization’s strategic objectives.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in Employment Law, Legal Research, Litigation, Negotiation, and Arbitration is required.Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all stages of employment litigation, including investigations, pleadings, discovery, depositions, negotiations, settlements, and trials.
- Conduct legal research and offer guidance on a wide array of employment-related matters.
- Draft and negotiate settlement agreements in employment disputes.
- Represent the organization in mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings.
- Work closely with the Human Resources department to ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations.
- Formulate and execute litigation strategies in collaboration with external legal counsel.
- Provide training to staff on employment law topics.
- Stay updated on legal, regulatory, and industry trends in employment law.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law institution.
- At least 2+ years of experience in Employment Law, Legal Research, Litigation, Negotiation, and Arbitration.
- Licensed to practice law in the state and in good standing with the state bar.
- Proven experience managing employment litigation cases.
- Strong negotiation abilities with a knack for resolving complex disputes.
- Excellent legal research capabilities and proficiency in legal research tools.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong ethical judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information.
