Mental Health Nurse

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Mental Health team in Arlington, Massachusetts.
This is a full-time position with a 32-hour workweek, offering a dynamic and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Accurately and timely document patient information, including AFS, progress notes, and observation sheets.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with patients, adhering to professional boundaries.
- Participate in patient rounds and teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Identify and address patient behaviors contributing to crisis situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques.
- Communicate changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse and follow established protocols.
- Remain awake and alert at all times while on duty, performing Point of Care testing as needed.
- Participate in the maintenance of a safe and organized patient and staff environment.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Prefer two years of college plus one year of clinical experience, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
- Licensure: N/A
- Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work in collaboration with others.
