Job Title: Christmas Kettle Worker in Ketchikan, AK

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Christmas Kettle Worker in Ketchikan, AK. As a Kettle Worker, you will be the face of The Salvation Army's Christmas fundraising efforts, spreading holiday cheer and collecting donations from the public.

Job Summary:

This is a temporary, non-exempt position that requires standing or sitting for up to 8 hours, with the ability to withstand cold or freezing temperatures with proper clothing. You will be responsible for ringing bells at assigned locations, interacting with the public, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Ring bells at assigned locations to collect donations
  • Interact with the public in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries
  • Stand or sit for up to 8 hours, with the ability to withstand cold or freezing temperatures with proper clothing
  • Relieve previous volunteers in a timely manner
Requirements:
  • Be at least 17 years old
  • Be able to clear an Alaska State background check
  • Complete Kettle Worker Training
  • Be able to stand or sit for up to 8 hours, with the ability to withstand cold or freezing temperatures with proper clothing
