Role Summary:
We are in search of a highly skilled and motivated Release Engineering Specialist to enhance our Software Engineering division. As part of the System Solutions team, you will play a crucial role in advancing Computing Infrastructure through Neoverse CSS. Collaborating with a globally distributed team, your main focus will be on the release engineering and version control of high-quality firmware.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee release engineering and branch management for firmware production releases.
- Deliver thoroughly tested production quality firmware to partners.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate release plans.
- Document release notes and maintain effective communication with internal and external partners.
- Manage the complete release process, including branch management and software version control.
- Develop Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines for firmware release processes.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in release management and automation for product quality system software.
- Proficient in software building and management for official downstream software releases.
- Hands-on experience with Yocto SDK.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes for server platform software.
- Experience in defect triaging and management for system software releases.
- Knowledge of open-source projects such as Linux Kernel, TF-A, EDK II, and OpenBMC.
- Experience in managing diverse teams.
